Little about ourselves
Plant Toxicology and Environmental Microbiology laboratory (TVME, LR18ES38) was established by Pr. Abdelilah Chaoui in October 2018. This Lab used to be a research unit supervised by Pr. El Ferjani Ezzedine from 2011 to 2017.
Here, at the Plant Toxicology and Environmental Microbiology Lab, University of Carthage-Faculty of Sciences of Bizerte, our research focuses on metallic stress effects on plant physiology with respect to the exogenous application of several types of introns with the aim of plant tolerance enhancement. We are also interested in studying phytochemistry and biological activities of indigenous medicinal plant species in Tunisia and molecular microbial ecology.
